Do digital cameras come wtih a battery when you buy them?

I would assume so, but I just want to make sure.

If the camera takes Lithium Ion batteries, then a battery and a charger are included.

If the camera takes AA or AAA, then possibly no.

yes. Make sure you have lots of replacements though, downloading eats your battery life up bigtime. I bought rechargables.

Some come with special rechargeable batteries that only work in the camera, others use standard batteries. Batteries are usually, but not always included.

some digital cam may not have or may have batteries included with them but the ones i bought has come up with an battery it's model was kodak cx70

Mine did but they don't last long and they aren't the rechargeable kind. And most do take AA batteries.

Yea sometimes they do. But if they dont Im sure the same store sells batteries. They usually use AA. The ones that are used in calculators, clocks etc.

i dont think they give u batteries with a camera u buy.but it would be nice if they do so.

Most cameras will come with a basic set of batteries. They will usually be a rather basic set - enough to test the camera on receipt.

Depending on your camera, consider using rechargable batteries and a charger. Get at least two sets and one of the chargers which has a cigarette lighter connection for a car as well as a mains adaptor! I was SO glad I did, since rechargable batteries have a shorter life in between charges than the high quality alkalines.

The other essential thing is to immediately get about 4 times as much memory as comes with the camera, otherwise you will find yourself very limited in the number of shots you can take.

yes they come with batteries.if there r rechargeable batteries then they would definitely include it in the pack.
