Is it bad to leave batteries inside your digital camera when you're not using it??

no not at all my camreas work fine and i leave the batteries in

AA batteries are notorious for leaking when left for extended periods. Think about that old radio or flashlight you once found and had to throw away.

Some cameras also put a slight drain on the batteries when the camera's off, but the batteries are still in them.

I'd recommend removing them, but keeping them in the same camera bag so they don't get left behind!

yes, if you're not going to use it for like a year or so. This is true with all electronic equipments with batteries (from TV remote to laptop), batteries shouldn't be left in the equipment for a long time without usage. If you're not using it for several days or some weeks, it wouldn't matter. Put the batteries aways from the equipment if you're not going to use it for another several months.
