In search for a good digital camera?

Lookin for a digital camera that has a good battery life and all that good stuff but mainly lookin for one that wont die on me that fast.. THANKS!

In Consumer Reports November issue, the Canon Powershot A620 was rated about twice as good as any as far a battery life. I hope the A630 and A640 are just as good. Either use rechargeable batteries or use Energizer e2 LITHIUM batteries and you will be happy with battery life. The Duracell lithiums are good, also.

Walmart or Sams Club have some good cameras. Try to start with at least a 5 mp or higher for the best pictures. Be sure to let the battery go down before recharging unless you need it for a shoot. They retain that short charge cycle if you don't let them drain down.

Most digital cameras die quickly. The battery life has not been good in any of the five I have had. I finally bought three sets of rechargeable batteries. Now, my camera doesn't die as quickly. Good luck.

My battery life seems to be very good. I own a Sony Cybe-Shot DSC-H2.

Samsung makes good digital cameras.

I recommend the Canon PowerShot A540.

It uses AA batteries so you can always have backup batteries ready. And it had a good set of features for not too much money. Use rechargeables. I recommend Sanyo Eneloop AA batteries. They don't lose their charge over time like other rechargeables do.

I have an older model Canon (A95) that survived a fall off the top of the fridge. Still works great.
