I have enquired in Calcutta market, Sony 1700 mah batteries with charger is available. Is there any better product? First make sure what is the maximum "load" your camera can tolerate. My camera cannot tolerate batteries over a 2,000 mAh capacity, for unknown reasons.
Second, consider a charger that offers a DISCHARGE function as well, since "battery memory" is the biggest killer of batteries besides heat. Better charges drain the remaining charge from a battery, then fully recharge the cell to the maximum extent possible. This extends the life of your expensive Nickel batteries.
Compare your battery/charger combination available on the Calcutta market with other on-line vendors. Some surprisingly good prices can be found, but the cost of shipping may make your "local" purchase more cost-effective.
Lastly, don't forget to research where to dispose of these poisonous batteries once their lifespan is exhausted.
Good luck! I'm going to assume you are buying AA size batteries.
You can get 2500 mAh AA's or better. The number refers to the amount of charge the battery holds. |
