I've put normal batteries in my digital camera instead of rechargeable ones...will it harm my camera??

no but the batteries will drain very quickly ..lucky if they last an hour......

Try it and await developments

If they are poor quality, they may weep and the acid would cause irreparable damage to the electrics. Take them out and keep them as spares...............

no not unless the batteries are the wrong size :)

No..it won't harm your camera. You don't have to put in rechargable batteries. You can get lithium batteries for your camera that are not rechargeable. These are good for 600 photos.

You can operate a digital camera ?

No, they won't harm the camera- the reason it is recommended, is that digital cameras go through them at an incredible rate. Duracell Ultra are ones that were designed for digicams, but even they only last a short time. Also, when using rechargeable ones, make sure they are at least 1800 mAh, or the camera may not even turn on.

definatley not

rechargable ones tend to have a shorter life that the high powere non-rechargable, but in the long run will work out cheaper. Ordinary batteries will NOT harm the camera, but the cheaper ones will not last. I bought some cheap AA batteries, cost 2 euros for 12, but they don't have the power to take even one shot on my camera, Duracell however, last a long time.

no. they won't last very long.

Hi,
The normal batteries in your digital camera will not harm it. However, you should remember to always remove your batteries if you aren't going to be using your digital camera for an extended period of time. If you don't remove them, they could leak and destroy your camera. This will happen even if you choose to get rechargeable batteries.

No they wont harm the camera but dont last long at all, even the duracells which are abit better cant hack it for long. I'd be lost without my rechargeables cos I cant find the lithiums for my camera anywhere

no. ive actually switched from normal batteries to rechargables because of the cost involved and the rate my camera uses batteries. Its fine.

Depending on the make of digi camera you have IE kodak etc buy the strongest batteries you can.

No, but don't leave them in your camera when not in use.

read the manuel most cams are lucky to use ordinery batteries as these have a slightly higher voltage and this charges the flash a lot faster

thats not my camera is it ,,,,,lol
