I just bought a Sony Cybershot DSC-P92 5.0 MP Digital Camera and the rechargable batteries go so fast! I've been turning my camera on and off to check up on it it seems like within the first 10-15mins. the batteries go half dead! If you ask me this seems a little fast for a camera to go through batteries and then like 10 mins. later or so the batteries go dead. Is this normal? I'm thinking about just selling this one and buying a new one. I don't want to waste money on rechargable batteries. I use Duracell batteries and they still don't last long enough. Should I buy a new camera? Do cameras go dead faster when you keep turning them on and off? Your batteries may not be completely charged. They shouldn't go dead in 10-15 mins. Depending on your charger they could take up to 4-6 hours to fully charge.
Alkaline batteries are a waste of money in a digicam. Rechargables (NIMH) are the best way to go. A good setup of 8 batteries and a charger will run you ~$40. But it will save you hundreds in the long run. |
