batteries. cuz then you dont have to wait for it to charge.

rechargeable batteries

I've had 3 DCs and the rechargeable inbuilt batteries were (are) far superior to replaceable batts.

PS Yes it does take time for recharging, but that's a matter of organisation and finding a camera whose batteries last well.

one you can charge it is easier to maintain and use i have one with batteries and i hate it plus you would waste money on buying batteries unless you buy rechargeable ones but the price you pay to buy thoes you should just go ahead and get the one that charges up

the camera that comes with internal batteries. the new lithium batteries charge fast and last for a lone time. they last longer than the single batteries you insert, and the cradle for the internal allows charging to be easy and manageable, unlike having to carry heaps of batteries or take the bulky charger with you.

It's better to have a camera without batteries then it never dies. Duh! Let's buy batteries that you replace everytime you use it. Buy rechargeables.

I've used both, and both have their strengths and weaknesses.

I would say cameras that have high power consumption needs such as DSLRs and high end 'superzoom' point and shoot cameras pretty much all have rechargeable batteries because of their special power needs. The problems with them is you have to plan ahead to make sure you are fully charged when you need to shoot. and if you don't have a fully charged spare battery you run the risk of running out of power. the advantage is they frequently do things that simpler cameras can't do.

Cameras that use replaceable dry cell batteries (like AA or AAA), usually don't do all the stuff that the fancier cameras do, but if you run out of batteries, you can always buy more just about anywhere. These cameras do quite a bit (just not as much as the bigger cameras) and are fine for casual users who may only occasionally want to do large enlargements etc.

I personally now use cameras that all recharge, but it really depends on how YOU want to use your camera.

A digital camera that you can charge.
