What is the most longest lasting rechargeable MaH AA battery that I can get the most life out of for a camera?

Basically I know there are a couple of different sizes, the largest Ive seen so far was 2900MaH, are there larger ones than this? Or a different kind of rechargeable battery that lasts longer? Someone also said some types of batteries dont do good in the cold, if you plan on taking pictures while snowboarding? Anyone know the story on that?

The 2900 mAh, NiMH AA's are the largest I have hear of.

The key to using any battery in the cold is to carry spares in your pocket, next to your body and warm. As the ones in your camera get cold and start to fail, switch them out. I would carry at least a couple of sets. If you charge the batteries the night before, you should be fine.

In the future when you eventually buy a new camera, buy one that uses Li-ion batteries. They hold their charges longer and have a much longer life (I have some that are over five years old and still working fine)

ive always had good luck with the energizers, the silver and green ones

I have found that the Sanyo eneloop AAs hold the storage charge very well, and last longer in my camera, too. They come already charged, and I think they were about $11 for 4 of them.
