How can I deter this car thief?

Hi, I have a 2Dr 94 Honda Civic DX and some thief keeps breaking into it to take my spare change (doesn't touch my stereo strangely). My car has an alarm system and it went off again this morning. I found the passenger door ajar with no damage so I have reason to believe he has one of those door unlockers that the AAA guys have. The last time my car was broken into the thief had popped my hood and disconnected the battery (which disabled the alarm) and then got through the door.

I live in an apartment and my car is on the driveway. I can see my car out my window (if I wake up to the alarm) and it's well lit enough. But is there anything else I can do? Should I install a camera at my window overlooking the car? Any help is appreciated. I'm just tired of feeling helpless. Thanks guys!

Maybe don't leave anything of value including your spare change in the car.

Purchase a car alarm that comes with a pager. When someone messes with your car it instantly pages you. To catch this guy glue some change to your floor mat. Practise running times to your car & get ready to do some crackhead thumpin'.

deter him with a .357 magnum and hollow points. make an example out of his deadbeat @ss.

Stand guard with a shotgun?

get a capacitor from radio shack, charge it, and tape under your door handle when the thief opens the door it will shock them and knock them on their can. Maybe they will start to wonder what else you have done to protect your car.

yes, i think you should place a camera over looking your car and then catch him/her in the act. You can then show that to the police. I'm sure they will do something about it.

and to stop him altogether you should 'De-Lock' your car ( http://www.torquecars.com/styling/de-loc... )
It removes the lock from you car, and then you can only open it from your wireless remote (which you already have).
It also makes your car look better.

Wake up earlier than this jackass and wait for him, either with a camcorder or a pellet gun. Then you can have proof of what he's done, and have him arrested right after you scare the bejeezus out of him.
