What is a good security camera I can use for later evidence? |
I have a Honda Civic and some thief keeps breaking into it to take my spare change (doesn't touch my stereo strangely). My car has an alarm system and it went off again this morning again. I found the passenger door ajar with no damage so I have reason to believe he has one of those door unlockers that the AAA guys have. The last time my car was broken into the thief had popped my hood and disconnected the battery (which disabled the alarm) and then got through the door. You have more options than you might think! First and cheapest would be if you already have a digital camera of medium to high quality, such as takes pictures of 3.0 or higher megapixels and has a good clear zoom feature. If so you can hook that up to monitor your car while you sleep. The only problems I see with this are the distance to the car and the size of your computer hard drive. If the car is too far away or you don't want to take up your hard drive recording, you can get a variety of cameras form the local walmart that hunters use to watch game trails and are motion/heat activated these cameras will cost between $100 and $800 depending on the quality. There are also cameras designed just for the use in cars that retail for around $250 called the cyber-eye. You can check out several options on my website www.thephillipsgeneralstore.com |
