Which one good battery for cameras AA or Lithium Ion rechargeable?

sana noor

In general I prefer rechargeable nickel metal hydride (NiMH) AA batteries for my digital cameras.

Lithium ion rechargeable batteries will let you take more photos between charges, and will hold a charge a lot better in storage than NiMH rechargeables. However, my experience has been that lithium ion rechargeables 1) don't have the number of recharge cycles that NiMH batteries offer, say about 300 maximum for the former and about 500 cycles for the latter, and 2) lithium ion rechargeables cost at least twice as much, on a cell per cell basis, as a NiMH batteries. Given what looks like to me is the the higher cost per recharge/photo of the lithium ion rechargeable battery, I prefer the NiMH rechargeables, especially since I take a lot of pictures.

A set of four NiMH AA batteries, with a charger, can be had for $15 or less at the local Wal-Mart

I like the Sanyo eneloop rechargeable AAs. They come fully charged and stay charged out of the camera. Also last longer in the camera.

Always the Lithium ion is better, Its last longer than...and long-lasting than...
Thats why more expensive on it than the other.

the one that is mentioned in the manual within the pack
