Manual/Classic Camera Batteries ???

I have a YASHICA 124G Camera which takes square pictures 6cm x 6cm. It is similar to a Rolleiflex.
The camera uses a 1.3 V mercury battery to power its exposure meter. The instructions say use either Mallory PX-13B, Eveready EPX-13 or equivalent.
These batteries are small button ones. My problem is obtaining a proper battery but who sells them in the UK. Maybe they are obsolete ? so what do I do.?
Please no jokes about going digital, it doesn't help me.

Take a look at this:- http://www.paulbg.com/Nikon_F_meter_batt...
It is a way of using zinc-air batteries as a replacement for the banned mercury batteries. The batteries are the correct voltage, which gets round the meter inaccuracy due to higher voltage of suggested replacement watch batteries.

You can also try Google for "px-13 battery" to find other information.

If the 'button' batteries you refer to are the ones I use, I would recommend that you try eBay. They're dirt cheap, and brand new. See source below.

I think the Maxell AG13 will work. Its a 1.5V battery so you may need to make exposure adjustments. You can find them on eBay or at your local camera shop.

Another alternative would be a hand-held light meter which uses regular AA batteries. It would probably be more accurate.

This is the only place I could find:-

This one is also the correct voltage too. They have some alkaline ones but they are 1.55V and I'm not sure how much that would affect your exposures.
