Anyway I can transfer a video from CamCorder to PC only with USB?

Name: Sony Digital Video Camera Recorder (DCR-TRV460)
Digital 8 / SteadyShot / USB Streaming

The problem is, when I plug in the USB I just hear the sound but no bubble in the bottom right pops up (example: new driver found). I tried almost anything I can think of, FileMaker Pro, WMM, honestech Video Editor, etc. Nothing can find the Camcorder. I looked at my Control Panel but there is no appropriate file that can copy/transfer it. I will try to get the CD as soon as possible. But for now, I can't do anything! Please help & thanks for advance.

Your computer needs a firewire card(ieee1394) in it, then you need a firewire cord to connect your camera to your computer via the DV jack. Then use the software that came with the camera or Windows movie maker. I prefer Pinacle studio 9.

YOU'LL HAVE A FIREWIREBOARD WITH INSTALLATION CD

Yes. But you have to have a dvd player, and a blank cd/dvd.

Usually you can make videos, but you can make dvds too! Just record on your dvd player, then onces its done, put the dvd in the computer and save it. It should work!

buy a firewire card (under $20 on ebay). usb is too slow to transfer video without losing frames. if you have windows xp, use moviemaker to capture. if not buy nero 6.
