My webcam worked with XP but not with Vista?

my digital camera doubles as a webcam. i used to use it alot when i had Windows XP but when i got WIndows Vista, it stopped working. i donwloaded the driver from the website but the computer still says it can't find the driver even though it's already installed. works fine with XP but no Vista. can you help me? it's an Aiptek DV8800.

Microsoft Vista has alot of bugs that Microsoft is trying to fix. I would recommending waiting until a service pack comes out. If you really need it now, go buy a new one, they are not expensive.

many of the things that are compatible with xp is aren't with vista.. i have the same problem , alot of the bugs will be fixed in maybe a year

Certainly. Backup all your personal files and useful drivers. Then get rid of Windows Vista, and go back to Windows XP.

If XP worked so well for you, why did you switch to Vista??

See if you can find another driver for Vista. If you can鈥檛 find anything else then you will just have to wait till MS issues a patch.

If you can鈥檛 wait then just create a dual boot and use XP when you need it.
