My hard-drive (above) wont do anything when i put in an installation disc.
If i double click "My computer" no disc is showing and there is a yellow exclamation mark against it in Device Manager.
Help, I need to install a new digital camera and cannot find the drivers on the internet (CAM IS ZENNOX 3800) thanks for suggestions, daughters boyfriend came over, unistalled the drivers and windows vista re-installed them on boot-up.
Working perfect.x 1) a sony cdrw is an optical drive, not a hard drive
2) exclamation mark means the device is not working. try removing it and redetecting. if you are on XP, it's auto. if you are on win98, then you have to look for the driver CD hi mate
the CD-RW CRX 3200EE ATA DEVICE is your optical drive and the exclamation mark against this is a common problem, this is a error were parts of the drivers have become corrupt or missing
i had a similar problem with windows vista recently, and after trying to reinstall the driver or update it i finally succeded by doing a system restore to before the time when the problem started
so go to start>programs>accessories>system tools>system restore and restore your p.c to a earlier time,as long as its before the time when this problem occured
as windows saves settings (inluding device settings) every time a restore point is created then when your p.c is restored your cdrw will be there in my computer
any problems let me know
good luck mate ! |
