Nvidia 7600GS Help!?

I have an Nvidia 7600GS and I am trying to link it up to my TV but it won't work.

I live in Sweden and the TV is Pal. I have a yellow S-video cable (that came with the card) and have it plugged in to the s-video port on the card and the yellow composite port on the TV.

I have made sure that the TV is on when I switch the PC on and the cable is firmly plugged in. I have 2 o/s (vista and XP) on my PC with the latest Nvidia drivers but it will not recognise the TV. I cannot tick the option for 'rigerous TV detection' in the Nvidia control panel.

I thought it might be the TV but I have managed to plug my digital camera into the composite port on the TV and it works fine. The TV is old though- probably about 10 years old.

I have almost give up and just wondered if anyone had any advice?? And yes, I know I should just buy a new TV but I can't afford it!

the scart lead has to be in AV2 NOT AV1
