Webcam problems?

Have a logitech ball type camera,but have no installation cd and unable to find the correct driver online.
Have downloaded Logitech quickcam etc,but nothing seems to work.
When i check added hardware it shows there is a camera and shows drivers for this device not installed.
I tried driver magician etc,they came up 'unknown camera',unknown usb device',unknown driver.
Has anyone got any idea how i can resolve this problem,i have had 2 or 3 webcams without driver cd but this is the only one that has stomped me.

I had an issue cos I had an old webcam, with no make/model on it and no drivers. If you look on the camera, they'll be an FCC number - it has letters and numbers in it. If you google the FCC number, you can find out the make/model of it and download the drivers.

You can search the FCC id number on the link below. Without this there'd be no way I'd have got the drivers for it. If you have no joy, google the fcc id number.

I have the same webcam. click on the logitech camara icon and then on choose applications then install it on any messinger you want if thats the problem, i dont really undistand what youv writen, it was all pretty straight forward for me and im no computer wiz, really hope ive helped =]
