How can I stream video from my Sony Handy cam DCR-SR45? |
I just recently got a Sony Handy cam DCR-SR45. It's a great camera with a 30gb hard drive but i want to stream video to my computer or have it be able to be a webcam. Windows Vista automatically installed the drivers, but it will only detect the 30 gigabyte hard drive, not the fact that it is a camera. I cant even use it as a webcam on Windows Live Messenger. Any ideas? If the camcorder had streaming as a feature, it would be in the manual on how to do that. This camera does not have those instructions in the manual. It does not stream. Most cameras do not. |

I had an issue cos I had an old webcam, with no make/model on it and no drivers. If you look on the camera, they'll be an FCC number - it has letters and numbers in it. If you google the FCC... try this link, it might be possible do disinfect your system: ... first go to control panel then double click on scanners and camera if you dont see anything you will see a add an imaging device then installation wizard will help you... ...Agreed. It's not over..nor should it be swept under the rug. Someone was wrecked intentionally..and it needs to be addressed...before a driver gets hurt by this nut. ... |
