Who is against putting speed camera's on our highways and why?

Illinois Tollway is putting camera's on the tollways were there is construction. They will photo your car and you has a driver and mail a $370 fine to your address. I think it is a great idea to get people to slow down. What do you guys think?

Sounds good to me. I don't speed.

bad idea, because sometimes desperate moment calls for desperate speed.

also it's a major invasion of privacy, it's kind of rare knowing that someone is watching you even when you drive. Also I can't stand this anymore ,there are way too many cameras in our society.

btw, they have the same thing in scottsdale az and there wasn't much of decrease in accident.

it's the slower driver that's causing most of the accidents.

I think it stinks. They listen to my phone calls, they read my e-mails, they know where I am driving from ez pass, now they have pictures too? This is NOT a free society.

well a lot of construction people are killed every year by speeders. I speed all the time, but slow down at construction areas.

Against. They have put cameras all over this town. Saying things like it is protection. This is all part of Chertoff's Domestic Spy Program. Wake up people!

Speeding fines result in revenue for the government... also saves lives... to be fair
