Polaroid PCC5070 digital camera keeps saying SD PROTECTED?

I bought the sd card & inserted it but when I go to take a picture it keeps saying SD PROTECTED & won't allow me to take a picture. My manual shows nothing about this message. I tryed to go into setup or format but no luck. What does this mean? thanks

It is a PDC5070

on the side of the card is a little switch
move to switch to unlock

The card is locked otherwise. There is a tab, put it up to unlock it
