Can i use a digital camera as a web cam?

my camara is photosmart m425 and i have read the manual and theres nothing there that can help me, but i want to know if i can use it as a web cam, and if so, how do its work?

if you plug in your camera to your computer sometimes you can find it in media player you just have to play with it what profile does it have go to start - control panel - system - hardware - device manager see if you have any new imaging devices when your camera is connected
