Do you all want to know what the funniest thing is?

All these people saying the Pats cheated by taping. The NFL games operation manual says.....
1. Page 105 of the Game Operations manual says: "No video recording devices of any kind are permitted to be in use in the coaches' booth, on the field, or in the locker room during the game." It later says: "All video shooting locations must be enclosed on all sides with a roof overhead."
2. And a memo from Ray Anderson, NFL head of football operations, to head coaches and GMs on Sept. 6, 2006 said: "Video taping of any type, including but not limited to taping of an opponent鈥檚 offensive or defensive signals, is prohibited on the sidelines, in the coaches鈥?booth, in the locker room, or at any other locations accessible to club staff members during the game."
So its perfectly legal to tape your opponents. The ONLY part of what the Pats did wrong way back was the POSITIONING of the camera that was filming. What are your thoughts on this?

Not to mention the NFL took the tapes before halftime before they could even be viewed. The Pats won the second half of that game with the Jets by a score of 24-7.

Everyone does it, big deal. The patriots are clearly the best team out there, and all other teams are just going out and using this as an excuse as to why the patriots are so much better.

That has been my stance on the subject the whole time. They didnt cheat, it was a rules infraction. What they did was legal, where they did it wasnt. That is why they got fined. They arent cheaters, they broke the rules and paid the price. These Patriot haters need to move on to their next excuse why their team didnt beat us.

I predict the10 points go to the person who said, this wasn't cheating, it was a rules infraction... what is the difference? If you don't already work for a political campaign, you have a lucrative future ahead for you because that is a beautiful piece of spin. The only difference between cheating and breaking a rule, is if its your team or not.

and the question asker has perhaps misread Ray Anderson's memo, it says you are never allowed to video tape the signals of the other team, never ever. The Patriots agreed they were doing it on purpose.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS: The bigger point Patriot fans should be arguing, is that you don't need to cheat to beat the Jets. 6 of the 18 were against the TERRIBLE AFC East
