How can I download pictures from an Finepix S5800 digital camera without the USB cable?

I can't get hold of the cable - left at a friend's that I am no longer in touch with. Is there any way I can download it without that cable?
If not, can I replace the cable without buying a new camera?
I have downloaded the manual but I am so confused by it. I don't know much about digital cameras so it's not hard to confuse me... Any information, even the most basic, is useful!

You can use a memory card reader assuming your camera has either smart card, flash memory card, sd card etc. Unless your PC is equipped with a card reader.
If you must have the USB cable, try buying on eBay. Or if you have any other USB cables lying around the house, try to see if it fits... in most cases its a standard size.

Well you can buy a standard 10 to 20 dollar USB cable http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?... or if you computer has a card reader stick the memory card in the hole and the rest is self explanatory.

OR Buy a 2 gig SD card and SD card reader. Format the card then insert in camera for use.
