Help! My film camera isn't working!?

Its a Minolta manual film camera. I just put new batteires in it and new film but when I turn it on it only has a 0 on it. And the shutter release button wont work so I know somethings wrong.

I think I might be loading the film wrong but Ive taken it out and put it back in a million times!

Im not sure about the model (it was given to me I didn't buy it) but it says Maxxum GT on it so that should be the model.

Please tell us the model of your camera. I've used Minoltas for 37 years.

EDIT: After an extensive seach I've found nothing on your camera. You really need the Owner's Manual if you don't have it. If you do have it you need to really READ & STUDY it.

You might try taking it to a real camera store and asking their help.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

What Minolta camera is it?
Inspect and clean the battery contacts on the camera, clean the contacts on the batterys and check the polarity of the batterys.
Let me know if this works,or if you have tried this.
If you have the camrea manual it should have a trouble shooter guide in it. Another good place to look would be the Minolta web site.

Where is the 0, on the light meter?

Check to see if the button on the bottom us pushed in (the one you push before winding the film). That may make a difference.

Bring it in to a camera shop that repairs 35mm cameras, you don't want to mess around with it too much and risk breaking it.

Yep Macro is for close up pictures of small objects. A microscope is used objects so small they are allmost invisible, so a macroscope is for things that are a bit bigger but still small.
