How can I install a program to get the pictures off of my EOS digital rebel on a mac computer? |
I had the software on my windows laptop which crashed. I want to install the program so that I can transfer files from the camera to my mac yet I haven't found where I can download this software at. If you have a Macintosh with OS X you should already have iPhoto on it. iPhoto should start automatically as soon as you plug the camera into it (via the usb cord that should've come with your camera) if it doesn't, start it and it will automatically recognize the camera and ask if you want to import the photos. most of the time with our LOVELY macs, we don't have to even use iphoto...when I plug my Cybershot into the usb port, it shows up as an external drive on the desktop. Then I double click on the "external drive" and search the folders within it, and bam there's my pics. Report It Well I have a mac and the digital rebel and you dont need any software for the transfer just plug in your camera and the computer will find it. If it doesnt then go into the camera menu and and on comunication change it to PTP and it will transfer automatically. So no drivers are needed. And if this doesnt work the the drivers are on the CANON USA website just go to support or download I dont remember which one. |
