My compter won't detect my philips mp3 player!? |
My computer detects my philips mp3 player (HDD082/17) as a digital still camera. I have reinstalled the playsforsure software and even downloaded a file to run from philips support that was supposed to fix the problem but it didn't. Can anybody help me out here? It's Windows XP Pro and where do I download the driver? It's not detected as another drive or anything like that. It just needs to be detected as a mp3 player and then you use windows media player to "sync" with it. Either your Windows OS does not have the necessary device drivers for the Philips MP3 player. Download the Philips device driver and then go to Control Panel -> System -> System Monitor and select the device and right click. There you will see an option for Drivers, update Device driver to use the new file you have installed. Perhaps you need to get the lastest and greatest driver for it or try plugging it in a different USB slot. go to "my computer" and see if it lists it as an external storage medium (disk) or something If your computer is old, you may need to update your UBS connectors to a newer version like 2.0 maybe, i think is not a software problem is more like a hardware... get a cd |
