Compactflash Reader....how to use it???

I just got a digital camera and it came with this compactflash card reader can someone tell me it`s proper function and use.the camera came with no cd driver or program.can i use the card reader to get the pics from cam to computer and then use any after market software to touch up pics and then print...thanks

First of all, be sure there are some pictures on the card. Plug the card reader into an open USB port. Plug the card into the appropriate slot on your card reader. I use Photoshop Elements and as soon as I plug my card into the reader, it starts its own card reader and displays a thumbnail of every picture on the card.

If this does not happen automatically, open your photo editting software. Do whatever you usually do to open a file, but click on the selector where you can change drives. Your card reader will be assigned a new drive name that will be one letter higher than you ever saw before, such as "Drive G:" or such. Then, just double click on the name of the file you want to open and it will appear in your photo editor.

plug the card into the reader then plug it into the computer if the computer recognizes it as drive you will be able to open the folder containing your photos if computer doesn't recognize the card reader look up the name on the reader go to the manufacturers website and download the driver

yes if you have xp it will detect self

Link up the USB card reader with your computer, then get the compact flash and plug into the card reader.

Once after that, you should saw a Removable Disk in you My Computer options (Double click on My Computer).

Double click the drive and all your pictures are inside there!

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.

it can upload/download your camera to your PC.

It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video clips.

you can make your ablum with picasa very easy.

It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google
