Wireless printing?

My wife and I each have laptop computers that do not have Bluetooth or any other wireless capabilities. I have a old desktop PC that is connected to an older printer. I have a wireless network in the house that is connected to the desktop PC that we use just to connect us to the internet for e-mail and web access. I also bought my wife a very good digital camera for Christmas.

So here is my question. What hardware and/or software do I need to get to be able to print both documents and good digital pictures from the laptops?
I realize I will probably need to get a new 鈥減hoto鈥?quality printer, but have no idea what I should get that will work wirelessly and give us good quality photos and documents wirelessly from the laptops. I also guess I will need some sort of device to connect to the laptops that send the data to the printer but have no idea what that would be or where to buy one. Does anyone have any suggestions / recommendations on what I need to do? I will appreciate any input. Thanks in advance for your help

The two previous answers will work fine. A good printer for you to look into is the HP C6180 Photosmart printer. This printer has built-in wireless and is amazing for photos. This printer usually costs around $300, but it has fax, copy, scan, print, and photo capabilities- plus an LCD screen for computer-free photos to boot (as well as slots for your memory cards). If you don't need fax take a look into the HP C5180 Photosmart printer, which has built in wired networking (to make it wireless, just plug into the ethernet port of your wireless router).

If you laptops have PCMCIA slots, the you can get a wireless network card for each and then connect worelessly to your router and subsequently your deskyop, you can access the printer through the desktop.

If you laptops are too old to have PCMCIA slots then you might try an external USB wireless card.

you need a router to connect to the Internet on the main computer first off, then you need network cards for the laptops they come internal via pcmcia connection or external via usb your choice, once you have all this you will need to connect to the desktop on your main computer to access the printer, when you need to do this just type the question in to your search bar and you will find step by step instructions, to search for a good photo printer you need to check out sites like www.pcpro.co.uk and you will find write ups on them, then a site to go to is www.saverstore.co.uk and compare prices to the high street. good luck
