I need expert advice: what kind of lighting are they using to create the effect? What kind of camera do you think they are using to take pictures? The lighting is excellent - it looks natural but I'm not sure if they are using some kind of lighting equipment? The pictures are clear, sharp, and bright. How are they creating the overall effect? Do you think they are using a digital camera? How can I create the same effect? Software? This is NOT an exotic lighting setup!
The key is open shade (like on a porch or the shaded side of a building ) a tripod, and NO flash. I would also like to see you with a software program that will let you crop your photos and control the colors (like Picasa_free from google).
A digital camera that will focus below 3 ft will also be required.
It is also a lot easier to work on a table than on the floor. Daylight is required for the light source.
You can do it! Dunno either some tuba photo collection software application and photoshop V08 those are good Possibly a light box/tent:

...and more than likely, a digital. Film cameras are nearly obsolete, with the exception of medium and large format. My guess is they're using a macro lens (or setting for digital) to get that close up. It's studio work, have you seen a cage thing (white) and you place the pbject inside and the light source will get on the object smoothly. You might need a mini reflector or a couple of spot lights. nothing special in those shots, soft box and close up lens, thats all |
