Help downloading pics.
Question Details: I have two NEW digital cameras. I've downloaded the software from both of them and Ive taken and downloaded some pictures already. Now with both of the cameras I cant download anymore pics. Yes, the pictures are on the camera but I cant seem to get them to dowload on to the computer. Every time i hook the cables to the computer cable, i click the button that should download the puctures, but a message always pops up saying 'Driver open fail'. What does that mean? I need some help! Please and Thank you. if you have a memory card **** on your computer, put the camera memory card in and then drag the pictures onto your desktop or into whatever folder you want it to be.
if you don't then install the softwares again If you have about $15-$20, I would say get a card reader. That way, you don't need ANY software. You can just drag & drop them from the card reader to whatever folder you want to.
If you have Windows XP, you STILL do not need any software. Just remove all USB devices, except the mouse & keyboard. Then connect the camera to the back of the desktop (if you have a desktop). If you have a laptop, make sure your laptop is running on AC power (using the power cord instead of the battery) and connect the camera to any USB port. After you get the "Found New Hardware" pop-up, go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, then click Scanner & Camera Wizard, and that should take care of the problem w/o using the software. |
