What is the solution for fixing following "Error 1603 : consult windows installer help(msi.chm) or MSDN?"

I was trying to install software for my digital camera , but during rolling back process this error comes everytime.CONFIG of my pc is also compatible with the camera.main heading of error is " Feature Transfer Error "
i have P-4,128 MB Ram, 40 GB hd, Win 98 os, USB port etc.

why win98? usb works better on xp.
how do you rollback? seems to be a compatibility problem.
