What does my computer need? |
What does my computer need to be able to accept the software for a digital camera? Thanks for all your answers so far, I am going to try some of your suggestions and get back to you. what You need to do, is to go to your main list if programs of installed items: literally, go through EVERY installed main programs, then click also on THE ARROW NEXT the main program you get a sub.program. somewhere you got the program installed, it normally would be there. hidden away, so go get it tiger!! my first move would be to double-click "my computer" and look for the disk in there.. it should be in D: drive or E: drive. Open it and see if there is a way to run it. Oh, and have you tried plugging the camera into the computer with the USB cord? Try accessing your cd rom manually and click on setup.exe in the cd. when the disc is in try going start menu, run, go browse, go back until you come to the my computer place. select the drive you put it in. then just run that. that should get the program running. if not contact the manufacture by email. sounds like your cdrom has gone or may just need cleaning software Windows XP supports digital cameras without insalling the Camera Software but I think some thing is wrong with ur CD ROM As you said that nothing happens after inserting a disk then you should go to 'my computer' and then right click on the cd-rom device and select 'autoplay'. if autoplay option is not there then double click on the cdrom. Well if error comes stating you to insert a disk or if a open page opens then their is a fault in the cd rom device, try to clean it using available cd cleaners and if taht doesnt work, the only option is to but a new drive. first look at your camera model, then try www.google.com and type the model name + driver download More then likely somehow the autoplay was turned off, goto my computer right click your cd drives and click autoplay, add the selections. Try backup your important data, then format the computer and reinstall the operating system ( windows or Mac ), then try to install the camera drivers .. it might be because of the OS, or there might be problem with your CD-ROM Hi, I don't know much about PCs, but I will do my best to help. connect up your camera or phone first it will go through set up follow the on screen instructions when it asks for the CD put it in hay presto the problem is the CD will not auto run its not supposed to though |
