What are the names of some good movie editing software?

I have used windows movie maker, I find that it has some glitches. I like to make slideshows, and movies from my digital camera video clips. I'm looking for something that would be able to deal with longer movies, 30 minutes and more, I find that moviemaker does better with only short movies. NOt looking to spend much more than $100

Try using photo story 3 (from microsoft website) to make slideshows, Powerdirector (cyberlink website) to make long movies. Windows Movie maker is just fine.

Ulead has some pretty good products. I have used VideoStudio and really like it. Never tried their MovieFactory but it may do the job also. http://www.ulead.com

I use pinnacle studio 10 and love it! I bellieve it costs around $50. I've just started using it and have edited a few videos that I've made and they turned out excellent!

I will disagree with you about the movie maker. I use it a lot and make movies over two hours long. You can make them as long as you want. You just have to make them in sections that will fit on the discs you use.

Read the instructions for movie maker and you will see that there are several ways to do some things.

I have both a regualr Panasonic digital camcorder and a digital still camera that will take moving pictures. I can even use both on the same CD and mix whatt ever I want to do.
I can add voice over when needed and music background when wanted nd much more.

I Have another movie editing program and find it is more difficult than movie maker from MS.

After I make the movie I then use Nero t record it.

Pinnacle Studio 10 is the best among the video editing softwares i have used provided you have good configuration for your system.....and it is in your budget....
