Hi everyone,
I'm in the middle of a major video project, but I'm having an annoying problem.
It has to do with pictures being put on the video like a slideshow.
The images have high resolution (up to 6MP), what I don't understand is that when I insert the picture in the video track, the pictures degrade in quality, they show pixelation moving when zooming, and smear colors around in addition they loose noticeable sharpness....an example would be a picture of a girl that has black liner in her eyes, when I put the image in the track, it looks somewhat as if the girl cried and the black lining around her eyes moved. ...Does anyone know what the problem is?
Additionally, I haven't had a problem with "scanned" images....for some reason they produce better results, and I don't know why because the files I use which produce the problem are directly from the digital camera in good quality state. I use Pinnacle Studio software. It most likely depends on the software, and the video file you produce. AVI files are generally high in quality and don't produce such effects, whilst low-quality WMV files will give undesired results such as the ones listed above.
If you're using Windows Movie Maker, try saving in a format such as high-quality WMV with a reasonable filesize for your needs. Otherwise, imitate scanner images. Instead of a 1280x1024 BMP file, hit CTRL-W in paint, resize it to DOUBLE that resolution by inputting 200 and 200 in the boxes and hitting enter, since scanner images are generally enormous.
If you're using another program, I'm afraid I can't help you there unless I've used it before. I think, the program is only showing you a rough thumbnail of the image. Try to do a full test to see what the final video output looks like. If your camera is snapping in jpegs, make sure the program isn't trying to use maximum compression, as jpegs loose quality when compressed at a high rate. |
