We have shot an entire TV series on DV PAL (600 minutes of programming) and need to convert the same to NTSC 4.43, followed by output on (MPEG-2 encoded) DVD. Most (if not all) camera moving shots (pans/tilts, etc) result in a very disturbing shake/strobe/judder.
1. Are there any good software/hardware solutions out there which can help us?
2. Would converting to NTSC Digibeta first and then downstepping to DV help?
We are a production unit based in India. Any helpful answers would be much appreciated! I will try. I think you are describing compression artifact. Maybe you can try with a small section of the video and try to do the conversion from un-compressioned video. I usually use simple programs to do this converison, such as TMPGEnc. They are free and flexible (if you know how to write script and config). |
