Names of some computer software.?

I just got a digital camera/camcorder and I want to take some clips of the videos and make them into pictures. I wondering what software I need to get in order to do that. Thanx for your help.

When playing your clips on your computer, pause the playback and take a screenshot (Alt-PrintScreen.) Then open an image-editing program (like MSPaint) and Paste (Ctrl-V) the contents of your clipboard.

Is it just me or did you say this device is also a digital camera? Just switch it to camera mode maybe....
