Does anyone know of a photo software that can add color to black and white photos? |
I've seen photographers that can take a photo, make it black and white, and then take an item and make that part colored while the rest of the photo stays black and white. (example: black and white photo of a person with only their eyes colored.) I have some photos that I have taken with my digital camera that I think would look really great if I could do this. Does anyone know of what kindof software I could get to do this with my photos. I have Adobe photoshop and I thought that I might be able to do it with that, but I can't find a way on there to do it. Any help/advice that anyone could give me would be most appreciated!! Thanks in advance! With Photoshop (generic instructions) Try crayons. Report It lol i usually just turn my kidz loose with a box of crayons on b& w photos cause thier really good at staying between the lines !!! Report It I found a great website that allows you to try it for free for a whole month, Its called Recolored, It is so much easier to use than photo shop, I made a B&W photo of a flock of Flamingoes into a rainbow of birds in a pond www.recolored.com Report It I found a program several years ago that works wonderfully, it's called 'Blackmagic', made in Australia. It adds realistic colors to any B&W photo, it's amazing. Report It Another option is to get Picasa software from Google. (it's a free download). They have a feature to have a part of a photo in color , while the rest is in black & white. Report It I use corel - use the wand to select your image, go to image then "color balance" make sure all of the boxes on the left are checked then slide your color bars until you mix the colors that you want. Make sure to hit preview or the colors will not change. Good Luck. Report It Recolored is the best solution for this purpose, and tons faster then any professional who can Photoshop. Anyone who is even familiar with editing programs or NOT can use this program. Try it for free at http://www.recolored.com/ Report It you take a picture with black and white film. You develop it on this special paper that has a matte or satin like texture. Then you color it with special photography colored pencils which are basically pastels. Report It With photoshop: use Recolored from http://www.recolored.com ... it is fast and nice Report It Instead of erasing on the actual layer, I use a layer mask. First make your black and white layer (as above), then create a new layer mask. Then you can erase on the layer mask to expose the underlayer and if you make a mistake, you can just color that part back in with a brush. Report It I prefer B&W film, because you can use filters on it in the lab, but if you are going to want to use this effect, then know that in movies, AKA Pleasantville, they film in color and desaturate the areas that are to be B&W. This is cheap, and it works well. Report It Try downloading picassa by google...its a great photo editing program! Report It You can also print out the image on paper in b&w and then use Marshall's Photo Retouch Colors and a very fine paint brush to color in the areas you want colored. They may also be known as Marshall's Photo Oils. Practice on a spare photo first. This is how many fine artist color their photographs. Report It There are a couple of ways to do it. Well what I do is use Microsoft Image Pro, crop just the eyes(or whatever you want), make the color nicer or keep it the same, then click the whole image, and make it black and white. it works. it's like..the image is really black and white, but the eyes that are colored are over top the black and white eyes, so the overall image is color eyes/b&w rest. Welll if you are looking for software that specializes in add color to photogrpahs then it would have to be Blackmagic Paint Shop Pro or Adobe Photoshop will do it for you. Photoshop just get a good photo program like photoshop or corel and you will be more than happy I recommand you to use picasa to organize and edit your pictures. |
