Need my computer to recognize my camera as a Drive, not a camera?

I accidentally deleted out all my images on my digital camera. I found different types of software that can retrieve them. However, they all seem to have to be able to recognize the memory stick as a storage drive (removable drive) rather than a camera. My camera shows up as a digital camera when I connect, so how do I get it to recognize it as a Storage Drive instead so I can this software to work!!? Please help!

Thank you in advance...

Excuse me but you are as if going around a maze here. By recognizing the camera as a camera, it's also recognising it as a drive but in a more comprehensive manner. When you open the camera folder (on your computer), you can select your camera folder settings, and it will come out as seperate files in seperate folders. Then, viola! you can manage it as a removable drive. If your computer is installed with operating systems that recognises Mass Storage Devices (such as Windows ME), then it will recognize the camera as an external drive. From your description, you've installed the camera software.

try going to start menu and go to run in the menu and look up the drive that way cause it may not just pop up.
