How to import photo's from HP E427 camera to iPhoto on Mac?

Right, here's the problem,

I have a Hewlett Packard E427 digital camera. I have no Hewlett Packard software. I'm trying to import photo's from the camera to iPhoto on my macbook.

When I connect the camera to the macbook using USB, iPhoto opens automatically but doesn't give me an (obvious) option to import the photo's.

According to Hewlett Packard, you do not have to use their software to import photo's.

What am I doing wrong? It's driving me crazy!

Thanks.

Here a few problems I see:
1) Do you have the lastest update of iPhoto
2) Go do the side of your iPhoto and look for HPE427
3) If that doesnt show up, try it out on a friends Mac or Windows
4) If all fails get a SD card reader, their like $20 so it snot that big of a deal.
