Hi everyone.
I've got a new notebook PC & want to install my digital camera onto it. (HP Photosmart software)
However when I attempt it, a message appears saying "this system does not meet your requirements" When I checked the CD that I was inserting it says it's suitable for windows XP home & professional editions, but my notebook has windows Vista premium.
Does that mean that I'll not be able to install my digital camera onto the notebook or is there some way of doing it.
Sorry! I don't know that much about computers.
Thankyou very much for your advise. ya.. i agree with aamin.. vista is still new.. so get the same requirement as it is.. go to hp website n download the driver 4 vista. that all yes it does vista was released to soon and microsoft never gave the after market the codes to make their equipment work with vista. chalk it up to greed on microsoft's part. Go to http://www.hp.com/united-states/consumer...
Select Windows Vista and download the software. Not all software that runs on XP will run on Vista. If a CD with software for your camera was made before Vista was out, it will not have been updated for that OS.
On HP's website, Photosmart software for Vista is available for download. See link below. In general, you want to make sure a program works with Vista before trying to install it. Since Vista is out for general release for about 6 months, most manufacturers will have been able to catch up and release Vista compatible drivers and software. |
