If a digital camera's pc requirements are Windows 95 or 98, can it be used with Windows XP? |
Cos Im having trouble downloading the software! It should be okay to use the software, as Windows OS are basically improved(?) upon, so XP runs basically the same way as earlier versions with a few differences. However, in the likely event it does not work, windows XP should be able to handle the digital camera anyway. This happened just the other day, my mate had deleted his cameras software, but he plugged it in to the comp anyway and xp handled it for him. if you can find the xp driver for it try going to the manufacturers website if theres no xp driver there its time to get a new camera Go to the camera website and download the XP driver if one is available. I know from experience. Never use any kind of old hardware on a new XP. It will probably destroy your XP if you continue using it to. yes it can! yes, if you are using XP or something newer than 95/98 than it should work. yes Maybe, maybe not. Although most Win9x titles do run fine on XP, any application that directly access hardware will not run on an NT class OS such as XP. It depends. I have an old webcam and it does not automatically work with XP. Some work right away. In my case I had to look for a driver online. Try searching for it in yahoo.com or google.com. I usually use this thread "driver_'camera brand'_'model'" (without the quotes and inserting space instead of the line) and installing it. But, yes, you would probably benefit more if you upgrade. install the software...then right click the icon., select the compability tab then check the "run this program in compability mode for" choose windows 95/98 |
