I just got a new digital camera- how do I put pics on the internet?

Its a kodak, it came with the little Kodak software. so i have a usb cord and everything and i can get the pics on the Kodak software but then how do i get pix from kodak software to hosting on photobucket and so on.

the kodak easyshare software blows for many reasons. get picasa.google.com

you can just make an album and click on upload to your gmail account and it's hosted there. you can also upload the pics to your myspace/facebook

I have issues with the software that came with my Kodak camera, such as it interfering with other photo and graphics software, and with peripheral hardware (such as scanners). I recommend not even installing it, or removing it from your computer if you have. There is better photo editing software out there, such as picassa from Google....

Instead of hooking the camera to the computer using a USB cable, I recommend buying a "card reader." I've seen them for $20 and under at Wal-Mart, depending on the brand, size, how many types of cards it can take, etc. You simply turn off your camera, remove the memory card from the camera, plug the memory into the card reader, and plug it into your computer's spare USB port. The card reader looks like a regular "jump drive' to your computer. You can then preview your pictures, set them us as email attachments, transfer any photos you want to your hard drive or photobucket, etc. It's a lot easier, IMHO, than sorting through the menus of Kodak's software...
