The camera is really genaric it is a cool cam and I was just wondering if it can just be hooked up and used or if the software is needed No. Those really old Sony Mavicas, etc... take a disk, but it's a blank floppy that you put in, to record your pictures onto. Those old floppy storage cameras would hold only 4 to 6 photos and were terrible. The not so old Mavicas take a CD and hold much more than the old floppies. My sister in law uses a CD Sony Mavica to this day and really likes it.
I'm not sure if this answers your question or not. If you found a camera that needs a driver, check on ebay to see if anyone has the software you need. Try out your camera before you buy anything. |
