i bought a new computer with pre-installed windows vista, but
the original software that came with the camera is only compatible with 1998, 2000 and XP.
is there anyway i could find a new driver? There are no Vista drivers for that model. The only option Sony offers on their support site is purchasing another copy of the CD that came with it, which won't help you much.
Usually you don't need a driver - try just connecting the camera to your computer's USB port. A new drive should appear in My Computer - that's the memory stick inside your camera. Copy the files from it to your My Pictures folder just like you'd copy any other files.
You could also purchase a card reader that you plug into your computer's USB port that will read the memory stick. If connecting the camera doesn't work, give that a shot. |
