What program do i need for uploading pictures from my digital camera?

i accidentally deleted the program for uploading pictures from my sony digital camera to my computer. i was wondering if any of you knew how i could fix this problem? or if anyone can give me the url from where i can downlaod the software from? thanks so much. :]

AND when i plug it in, it says the software wasn't found. so i already know the thing thing should pop up, but it says it doesnt work. it says 'unknown software found'.

There is really no need to install any program as your computer already has a photo editing program and an easy way to download pictures.

Open "My Computer" after you've connected your camera to the computer via the USB cable. Be sure the camera is turned on to the "view" and not "taking picture" setting.

Look for your camera as a new virtual drive.

Click on the camera icon and do the same with the folders found there.

If you go to the "View" button on the top menu bar, you can choose "thumbnails" to show a minature version of each picture.

Open "My Documents", and create a new folder for your digital pictures.

You can click on the thumbnails in one window and drag them to the picture folder you've created.

By the way, a better way would be to invest in an inexpensive memory card reader. That saves your camera's battery. If you buy one that takes different types of memory cards, you can use it with your friends' cameras or any camera you may buy in the future.

go to sony or if its a memory card try faststone.org is the beest freeware to upload and store photos and video from your camera or cards.
inless you are talking your driver to do it, but just hte same go to sonys website and find it there.

Usually it doesnt matter, your computer will give you options. Just hook your camera via USB to your computer and a window will pop up, asking you for actions. Click Import Files.
