Problem with my digital camera and vista?

Can anyone tell me why my videos i take wit my digital camera has no sound when i load it on to my pc,i have vista,could that be the problem cos i have had problems with other software that wont work on vista.i have a sony cybershot s500. any help will be great thanks!

When i transfer my video onto my pc from my digital camera there is no sound,when i connect it to the tv the sound is fine.I have a sony cybershot s500 and vista home premuim.There is no real sound settings on the camera itself,and i have tried everything i can think of to get the sound on the video,what could it be? Any advice would be great!

Sorry, but i don't have vista, it is extremely slow and is very annoying. But anyway, does your camera have a mic? if it doesn't it can't record sound.

Don't think it's Vista - I have no trouble with my digital video camera and I never even had to install the software - it recognised it as an external drive and played the files perfectly in Media Player when selected.

umm it probably is vista...i have it as well..go to bestbuy.com and search for ur camera...scroll down and see if there is anything about it being Vista compatible...or go to the manufactuers website and try to see if they have anything..most NEW cameras are vista compatible

You may just have to go out to Sony and download the updates for their program that is associated to your camera.

Or you can do as many of us have and just use the program supplied by Microsoft and view your video files with it.
