How do you put digital camera photos on your computer ? |
i bought a new sony digital camera and took tons of pictures in san antonio, i put the software on my computer to download the pics from my camera to my computer, is there a button you need to push to make the pics go in the computer or what..i read all the instructions and nothing...is there a simple way ? your cam must have come with a cable that connects into you computer and to the camera. When its plugged in and given it time to load. Then go to my computer and there should be a new device, which will be your camera. Open it up then look through the folders and youll find your pics. Then to compy them. it dependsa on if you have a camara card or not - an sd card can be taken out of the camara and inserted into the sd drive on your computer - if you have a usb cord, plug the camara into the usb port and usually the computer will detect it right away, and if not, then restart your computer with the usb still connected. . .i also have a sony, and i know my camara has both options, so if you need more assistance.....give me more detail about the camara model and all that. . . o yeah, there might be an orange button.. . .i think its called the share button which is used with the usb cord. check sony manual, A simpler easier way to get your images from your digicam to the computer would be by a flash reader with its usb connection. I use this so that I can bypass putting the software onto my computer since I already have some good image editing software. You can get a reader (or up it one and get a reader-writer) and put your images onto the computer this way. Once you've got your flash memory (say SD) into its proper slot, then connect it to the usb port on your tower and the computer will see it as another drive. Then it will ask you what you want to do, then tell it to put it onto your hard drive and you will name the group of images. I will give you a potentially useful tip to help you out later on. I went to DC this spring, and my digicam has 6mp and each shot was done in the highest resolution (which I would recommend you do for future benefit). Well, I uploaded images from a 512mb card and added a 256mb card or more too. Well when I wanted to burn a CD-R, the file was too big to actually fit. So keep your memory down to a half gig for cdr's unless you have a DVD+R drive. This will help you doubly, alright? Good luck. |
