Can any digital camera work as web camera? Can I use it to record DVD movie on computer.?

I plan to buy a camera and use it for creating DVD home movie. But my budget is small. Will digital cameras and my computer serve the purpose. 2) What software do I need 3) What should I look for before buying a camera.

no not all digital camera will work as a web cam, bit yes for creating home DVD movie, you can use your digicam, just make sure you have a big memory capacity in your digicam to record your movies.

To create the DVD movie on your PC, there is alot of software on the market for this.
Try one of these:
Pinnacle Studio
Nero DVD creator
Adobe DVD maker
and alot of others.

For me since I am using a Sony vaio laptop, there is already a DVD maker software installed by Sony.

But keep in mind that you need alot Hard drive space to render the MPG format into DVD format, and also you need alot of memory capacity to support you on the rendering process.

I have a 1GB memory on my vaio still it takes about 3 hours to render and burn a whole 90 minutes home DVD of me and my friends activity.

Well yes it can put movies to your computer easily well for all you need to do is make sure the camera you choose/chose has a video recorder on it and a USB connection to connect to the computer. Our camera we chose a Cannon which have those items and we put videos, pictures onto our computer. You can choose really any softwear just make sure it can handle pictures and clips. (e.g. desktop, adobe and more..........

2. yes you can record and and make a movie with the one with the video decord feature
3. to make a movie you need a movie editor software or if you wish to use a free one that comes with windows you will need to download a free/evaluation movie converter {I use movavi} this is good and it works so well for me.
