In my digital camera i recorded some videos and they came out great , but when i imported them to my computer?

and than watched it on my windows media player it didnt look good and the video was so dark and it was just bad. my question is what software makes the videos look good like it is on my digital camera.i own a sony camera.which i like.
what software should i download to make my videos look perfect the same way that i seen on my camera screen?

please help this is my chance to show my doughter when she grows up in the future to show how she looked liked and acted like when she was 2 weeks old.

even thoe i video camera my family in the day time where theres sunlight , the videos i play on my computer are still not as bright as i see it on my digital camera screen !

The sensor in your camera is not calibrated to your screen so you will need to calibrate the settings on your PC until you get the desired look.

As for the video quality, there's not much you can do about that the max that those cameras can take is 640x480 which by comparison is not even good enough to print a standard 4x6 print. Your camera screen is not showing the full resolution of the video while your PC monitor resolution most likely surpasses the resolution of the video.

The only thing i can think off is... to go on to a brighter room or outside in the sunshine...then they might come out better...or don't look at them on media player look at them on real player or youtube or something...?! XD :) ;)

There could be a number of reasons for that.

When was the last time you calibrated your monitor?

As pros, we calibrate our monitors at least twice a month, but we have to produce images that are dead on when it comes to colour accuracy

well the camera probley makes it look bright...
but on the computer that's how it really looks. so u may want 2 do it in a brighter room or outside or something!!!

or u may b able 2 go in the computer and change the brightness settings!!

(or even just the brightness settings on the camra. that may help a little bit(maybe) hope this helps!! :)

Same happens to me, all you do is adjust the brightness in the medias player before you watch it or when you do and save it as such.
