Yes. You will need a driver to install the webcam. If you go to the manufacture website, it should have it otherwise it should have been ship with your webcam.

log on to google and search for it

If you are using windows XP, then most probably you don't any Software drivers for it, as XP has drivers for most of the cameras. It will be a just plug-and-play.

Otherwise you have to go the company's website and download the drivers
